It is part of the Croatian chain of marinas ACI – Adriatic Croatia International Club. It is located on the western part of the island of Pag, in the Maun channel. It is the northern entrance to Dalmatia or the last marina of the Kvarner island archipelago. From which you can easily organize sailing to the north, Istria, Krk… or south to Zadar, Šibenik, Kornati.
SAILING IN ACI MARINA ŠIMUNI
During the day, a chapel east of the town can serve as a marker on land, while night sailing is marked with a green lighthouse that should be left on our right. When entering, sail in the middle of the bay all the way until you see the marina on the left side. Before embarking, announce your arrival on VHF channel 17.
Winds in the summer months inside the marina do not blow strongly, except for gales that can blow with great force in the summer, but only for a short time. But the position of the mooring place is in the NE and SW direction so that the storm does not pose a big problem when sailing in and out.
Šimuni is a small tourist town located on the southwest side of the island of Pag, exactly halfway between the towns of Novalja and Pag.
Not far from Šimun is the world-famous entertainment destination – Zrće beach. It is an urban oasis of the summer club scene and the center of fun life for young people from all over the world.
